i wanna talk to you today about brand-new jig from missile jigs that i helped design is called the ike mini flip jig. You know this jig really optimizes the category jigs that are “compact jigs” “small compact flipping jigs” and that’s what we designed for when fishings a little bit tougher when the craw fish or the forage species are smaller when you want to get a bait in and out of cover faster. This is what i’m going to go to a compact jig. You know there’s a couple things about this jig that make it really special you know<\/p>\n

the one is the shape of the head and if you look at the shape of that jig head. It’s really what we call a weight forward design its top-heavy a lot of the weight of that jig is in the front not in the back. You can imagine that like a torpedo and a torpedo is weight forward and it goes in and out of stuff really good. So for flipping and cover dance cover, wood, pilings, branches, grass that wait for design helps it get in a nap.<\/p>\n

Second thing that’s unique about this is the line tie and if you look at that line tie. It’s a 60 degree line type. which is what you want when you’re fishing around hard targets a lot of cover situations. But it’s actually integrated. It’s inset into the head push back another key feature of the mini flip jig.<\/p>\n

The third thing is the skirt. The skirt is a smaller skirt. Smaller profile but it’s thinner. It’s actually got what we call frog hair and it’s half the diameter of the regular skirt material on a normal-sized jig that inner skirt it’s going to flare a lot easier and it’s going to help the descent rate. The fall rate of that jig and that fall rate really helps trigger that reaction bite.<\/p>\n

The last two things under sig we’ve got a really cool keeper on there it’s a round keeper it’s got more surface area and then the last thing is the hook really really key part of this jig this is a custom-built VMC hook specially built just for this jig hardly ever done in the jig world but we had this hook built right for this jig .<\/p>\n

The last things are trailer lot of great trailers the main thing to remember is when you’re using a compact jig use a smaller trailer this is a berkeley power bait chigger chunk and it’s a small trailer but when i’m threaded on i’ll even bite a little bit of it off beforei thread it on there because i want to keep that package small i want to keep it compact and i want to make it go in and out of the cover really quick if you are fishing a jig but you need a jig for those tough conditions if you want something to get in and out of cover really well try that brand new missile baits missile jigs many flips jig and you’re going to get a lot more bites<\/p>\n
