米時間７月１３〜１５日に米仏州のオーランド コンベンションセンターで開催した「ICAST ２０１６」日本でいうフィシングショーのアメリカ版。今回も様々な部門からベスト賞が発表。沢山ある受賞商品から６点を紹介します。

ICAST 最優秀 2016 が発表

①ボートアクセサリー賞・・・Minn Kota Ultrex …このエレキはコードレスのパワーステアリングでGPSで好きな場所に移動できるらしい。またロック機能という装置も搭載しておりそのポイントに自動で止まれるらしい。またリモンコンはペダルも入れて３つとなる。[画像]

②ボート賞・・・Old Town Predator PDL … ICASTフィッシングショーでは多数のモーターボートが出品されているが、これらのカヌーも人気があるらしい。ペダル式で全長４mの３６kgと非常に軽い。やっぱりお金の掛からない遊び選びは重要ですね。[画像]

④ハードベイト賞・・・Savage Gear Suicide Duck… イギリスのパイクハンターから絶大な支持を受けるサベージギア。今回はガチネタでこれらの”自殺鳥”ルアーをリリース。ことの始まりは大型のパイクがアヒルのヒナを補食している事からはじまったらしい…

⑤グラス賞・・・Costa Rafael Sunglasses… ラテン系のデザイン要素が強い Costa社からの偏光グラス。これでも３万円程とそこそこのお値段。こんなデザインもいいね。[画像]

⑥魚探賞・・・Humminbird Helix 10 SI… 入門者向けにリリースされた魚探。とは言ったものの内容はサイドイメージング、ダウンイメージング、GPS地図やその他色々と機能が備わって日本円で約１５万円とお手頃なお値段。

⑦フック賞・・・Trapper Hooks Drop Shot / Live Bait / Finesse Hooks …地味な賞ですが、一番オモシロな商品。このメーカーはダウンショットのチョン掛け用のフックやライブベイト用のフックを沢山リリースしている。全てのフックがカドカドな特徴的なフック。機会があったら使用してみたいですね。[画像]

Making up a special section of the 650,000 gross square foot show floor, the ICAST New Product Showcase provides special visibility for the industry’s latest innovations in gear, apparel and accessories.

This year, the New Product Showcase, sponsored by Fishing Tackle Retailer, had more than 1,000 tackle products and accessories were entered by more than 240 companies into 24 “Best of Show” categories in the New Product Showcase, all vying for the overall ICAST 2016 “Best of Show” award. Buyers and media representatives judged the products based on their level of innovation, execution, workmanship and practicality.
