米時間 ２０１６年６月２３〜２６日にニューヨーク州で開催されたバスマスターシリーズ「カユーガ レイク戦」にて今期２度目の優勝を飾ったケヴィンバンダム。優勝賞金は約１０１０万円。キャッチした魚の数は４日間で２０尾。ラージマウス換算で約４５cmを２０尾となる。彼のYOUTUBEチャンネルに使用したタックルとパターンがアップされているので要点紹介です。英文も起こしておきますので参考までに。

ヘビーデューティーなタックルでフィネス”奥義”パターン

ハイ。日本のみなさん元気にしてたかな？また１０００万円稼いじゃったよ。エクスクルーシブで送るよ。今週ここ、カユーガ湖で行われた試合は挑戦すべくして挑んだ試合だったよ。まず大会中は風がほとんど吹かなかった、午後に少しだけ風が吹いたかな。それ故に僕が選んだタックルはスピニングによるフィネスフィッシングだったんだ。

まず今回のメインパターンはサイトフィッシング。使用したリールはスピニングの４０００番に８lbのフロロライン。ロッドは７フィートクラスのミディアムアクション。この湖には４キロ近いスモールが生息しているからね。メインで使用したリグはKVD Ochoのノーシンカーワッキーリグ。これをグラスの穴にキャストしていったよ。そして次のパターンが７グラムのダウンショット。スモールはもの凄く着水などに驚き易いから大遠投できるタックルが必要だったよ。

ドロップショットで使用したワームはこの２種類のワーム。

①KVD Half Shell・・・今期あたらしく発売されるワームがこれさ。スモールマウスには特にチャートリュースが良く効く。

①KVD Magic Shot・・・そしてマジックショットという以前から発売されているワーム。

重要な事はストレートフックでしっかりとフックセットをしてダウンショットのシェイク時にワームが水平になるようにセットする事だね。この時には僕がプロデュースしたグリップフックがおすすめだよ。

そして入れ替えのパターンに用意したのがベイトキャスティングでグラスへのフリッピング。KVD Ocho の５インチ。カラーはハニーキャンディーとブルークロー。３.５グラムのライトテキサス。ラインは１４lbを使用。そしてゆっくり丁寧に撃っていったよ。１４lbでゆっくり撃つ事が若干のグラインドフォールを生み出してくれて喰わせの肝だったよ。殆どの選手が２０lbのラインにクリーチャー系ワームを使っていたけど釣れていなかったね。そして時間差をみては再度スピニングロッドに持ち替えてKVD Ochoのノーシンカーワッキーでまたサイトで喰わせていったよ。グラスの穴に魚が沢山いたんだ。偏光グラスは必需品だったよ。そうだ！エンジンがもう少しで直るから楽しみにしていてくれよな。

　this week at Cayuga was a really challenging week in a lot of ways. just because the conditions. we had a lot of slick bait high sunny days with no wind at all and then you know a little bit of wind in the afternoon and then on the final day i had some so i had to do a lot of finesse fishing so…

　my main patterns were sight fishing and flipping the grass and actually wacky rigging of the holes in the grass. so I had you know a couple of different areas that I was fishing so when I was sight fishing i was using spinning equipment you know my tour KVD rod and reels with a 40 series tour KVD a material that allowed me to make a really long cast him. in the small mouse especially were real skittish had to stay way back off of them called a lot of amount of drop shot rig just a standard drop shot rig with a little strike came quarter ounce tour grade tungsten on their little must add number to dropshot hook and i using a new bait from strike king called a half shell I kind of mix it up between that and a dream shot this is a really neat mate one of the things that I really like about it is it’s designed to stand straight out on your hook horizontal so it really makes a difference you know when it when it hangs like that horizontally it looks like a little bait fish that’s a little KVD magic one right there. so i use that a lot on a drop shot you some dream shots we’ve got some new open for technology dream shots. these are brand-new just coming to market. that’s a bold blue gill one the smallmouth really like that chartreuse right there so I did a lot of that drop shot and caught a few on a strike king tube either a tuber drop shots hike on every site fish that I fish for and…

　then on top of that i would flip the grass with a striking old show caught a lot of my fish with this use several different colors honey candy, blue craw, I just had it rigged with a eight ounce strike king tungsten weight was throwing light line 14 lb bass pro XPS fluorocarbon that little 1/8oz in a 3/0 KVD Griphook that was key these all shows are really soft when you put that grip in on there and rig that up it just really keeps it from sliding down it’s really important to keep it straight and one of the things that I found is that using that lightweight and that lighter line gave that mate just a nice glide and it would fall down in those holes in the end they just built a lot better i know a lot of guys around me were fishing 20lb test you know using big flippin Bates creature baits and things like that just having this subtler presentation made a big difference

　when I got slick com I did the same thing with my spinning rod i used a 5-inch oh and a foreign Ocho and I just wacky rig did I just hooked it right dead center in the middle and just no swivel no nothing at all just just let it sink down let it sink down in those holes I mean you could see him you know out there i just used my polarized glasses to see him and when it was calm they just they didn’t want that faster presentation and you know this this Texas rig it also i kind of mix that up and you know over four days was able to to catch enough to get it done up here at Cayuga Lake
